Winter Carnival
Saturday, February 26, 1:00-4:00 pm

Bundle up, Fort Wayne, for some good, old fashioned winter outdoor fun! Bring the family and enjoy snowman building, a snow angel contest, crafts, refreshments and more! We’re hoping for snow, but the carnival will go on regardless of the weather conditions. FREE!

Join the Fun – Be a Zoo Volunteer!
Adults age 18 and over assist zoo visitors, teach education programs, show small animals to children, prepare animal food, or host special events. Training classes for adults begin March 22. Teens age 13-17 can apply now to join the summer Z-Team. You’ll assist our keepers and camp counselors, help at special events, and more. Download an application. Application deadline is February 28.


Romance Book Swap & Sale

Love a good romance novel? Here’s your chance to trade in the ones you’ve read for some you haven’t . . . and just in time for Valentine’s Day. Books may also be purchased. You may trade up to 5 books on each day of the event. Purchases are unlimited. If you would simply like to donate books for the sale, please drop them off at the Community Center by Wednesday, February 3.

Chili Challenge Bike Ride

Start the New Year with a chilly and challenging cycling adventure! Take the rugged off-road route or opt for a smoother ride on city streets and the Rivergreenway Trail. Ride departs from the Psi Ote Pavilion in Bob Arnold Park shortly after 1:00 p.m. and riders return to a steaming bowl of chili! This FREE event is co-sponsored by the Fort Wayne Velosport Club and the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department.
