Today, Wednesday, May 12th, is Zoo day at local Scott's grocery stores! 3% of total sales from 19 locations around the city will go directly to the Fort Wayne's Children's Zoo to, according to Zoo Director Jim Anderson, "feed the zoo animals. That's how we buy the food and pay the employees and put the gas in the train."
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is funded entirely from admission, souvenir and concession sales, and community partnerships, so if you haven't been to the grocery store yet today there is still time to get out there and support your zoo!
Bonus - children receive free admission on Saturday May 15th with a Kroger or Scott's receipt dated May 12th.
