Stories of Inspiration!

The Breast Cancer Site is sponsoring an inspiring story contest. Your inspiring story could win a $2,5000 grant for the 501(c)(3) non-profit of your choice. What is a 501(c)(3)? Organizations which are religious, educational, charitable, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals are a few of the kinds of organizations that qualify to be a 501(c)(3).

There are lots of worthy organizations in Fort Wayne that are 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Here is a brief list:
Allen County Public Library Foundation
Fort Wayne Children's Zoo
Allen County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)
Habitat for Humanity
Historic Fort Wayne (Historical Museum)
Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home
Fort Wayne Civic Theatre
Science Central
Fort Wayne Women's Bureau
Goodwill

And lots more! If you're not sure if your favorite organization qualifies, check with a librarian and we'll try to find the answer for you!
